If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. --2 Chronicles 7:14
Definition of Revival:
- Revival is not about salvation—it’s about those who are called by His name.
- Not “getting saved” again, or “born again” again.
- But renewing!
- To say that the Church needs revival implies that the Church is unconscious and needs to be awakened.
- “First love” – Revival is falling in love with Jesus all over again.
- The world doesn’t need revival – it needs regeneration, quickening – Acts 3:19:
- Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
- “Bend me” – the words that moved Evan Roberts!
- Are we content to live without revival?
- As long as we’re content to live without it, we WILL live without it!
- Am I desperate for God?
- Do I hold the Word of God in the highest esteem?
- Is my need for the Word of God like my need breath or water?
