Greetings, men of Geneva Christian Fellowship,
I know this is short notice but I’m writing to respectfully ask the men of GCF to make every attempt possible to be at tonight’s mid-week (Wednesday) Bible study (starts at 6:30pm). We’ll be studying what the Bible says (what God says) is the man’s role as a husband (Ephesians 5:25-28).
I truly want our relationships with our wives to flourish. I make no presuppositions or promises that this Bible study will do that—but it may be a start.
I hope your marriage is already flourishing. If so, that is wonderful.
However, we’re living in a culture that continues to beat down and pervert what God’s definition of marriage is.
So this exhortation is to the MEN of the Living God, because God designed your role to be a covering for your wife and for your children.
I understand that many have to work or cannot make it for any number of reasons.
But if you can make it and simply choose not to, I’d like to encourage you to consider taking this opportunity to show, by example, our wives and your kids that being a Christian sometimes involves sacrifice: sacrifice of time; sacrifice of comfort on a cold wintery night; sacrifice of a little sleep (but not too much sacrifice there, because we rarely go beyond 7:40 pm).
Hope to see you there.
And I hope your week is being blessed as you walk with Jesus!
