Men,
We're BEGINNING Chapter 9, God's Holiness.
We're also entering into the holiday season, in celebration and remembrance of when The Holy One, the great I AM, entered the world, on behalf of all sinners, and allowed the vile nature of sinful mankind to be put upon Himself.
This was the One, who in a show of His true nature, had His clothes become exceedingly while, like snow, such as no fuller on earth could whiten them (Mark 9:3).
What does that look like? Take the purist of white that can be observed on earth, and still it's brilliance is seen as dingy through while in the tainted and vile, sin encapsulated world!
Yet, in the Spirit, I think He gives us glimpses of Himself in all His brilliance, just as He did, Peter, James, and John.
I think it happens when a soul finally decides that he truly wants to see this Holy One and has finished with all of the dainties of the world - he wants nothing more than to be in the manifest presence of our God!
Our Assignment:
- Read Chapter 9, God's Holiness, pp157-175.
- Read the Study Guide, Section 10 on Chapter 9, God's Holiness, pp85-89.
We'll go through the Chapter and the Study Guide's "Lesson Plan -- Group Study" (pp89-91) on God's Holiness together.
Surely I am more stupid than any man, And do not have the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom nor have knowledge of the Holy One.
--Proverbs 30:1-2
