The title of Chapter 8 "Are You Willing to be a Servant?"
I think the more challenging, soul searching question is, "Do I really want to be a servant?"
The Lord is still asking me one of the questions we heard at the men's retreat last October:
The answer for me is, there is still much work to be done!
Consider something I heard someone speak about recently:
Have I gotten beyond the idea that I want Jesus in my life because of the things He does, or the things is going to do or give me? Have I come to the resolution that it's not about what He offers me, not even salvation, but it's Jesus Christ Himself that I want?
It seems like that question is directly related to, "Do I really want to be a servant?" And, "is Jesus Christ enough for me?"
Because if we have not come to the point where he's enough for us, and he's all we really want, then the reality is that we're likely to be a servant of the things we want more than we want Him, or to be His servant.
Make Him enough for you today! Choose Him, then ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, and then resolve it!
"Resolve":
Hmmm where have I heard that before? Oh yes, God's resolute man, Daniel!!
I think the more challenging, soul searching question is, "Do I really want to be a servant?"
The Lord is still asking me one of the questions we heard at the men's retreat last October:
- Is there a part of me that still needs to die?
- Am I holding onto things that I need to let go of?
The answer for me is, there is still much work to be done!

"Resolve":
- Verb -- to decide firmly on an action
- Noun -- firm determination to do something
