The Rapture and when it will take place still remains to be a prophetic topic, as Wiersbe shares in his book, that causes men to disagree. Is it a disagreement that should divide us? No
I make no claim to be a theologian or scholar. Yet I consider myself to be a student of the Scriptures, a student of the Word of God.
As such, no apology needs to be made for what God says. But we need to take His Word seriously. That means, in part, that we do not get to spiritualize what He says. His Word is spiritually discerned for those who have the mind of Christ. Neither do we need to interpret it ourselves because we have the Holy Spirit, who is willing to teach us and freely give to use who are of the Spirit which is of God, unlike the natural (unconverted, unforgiven, man). (1 Corinthians 2:12-14).
With that preface, we discussed the attached notes on Saturday, August 12, 2021.
Many of the notes were taken from The Berean Call Radio Program, which played an archived discussion between Dave Hunt and T.A. McMahon as they discussed what the Rapture is, and when the Scripture indicates it will take place, in reference to the actual Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
