I was thinking about one of the many points we touched on in the Chapter on Discipline of Marriage.

The next time you have an argument and you think you're right, think about these things and ask yourself (and God): "Why do I want so much to be 'right'?" Or, "Why do I want so much to MAKE HER KNOW I'm 'right'?"
Let alone the fact that I'm probably wrong, or at least by the time things "heat up", my attitude and actions are likely wrong.
And it's always because of PRIDE.
I look back and realize how utterly stupid I've been at times for wanting HER to admit that I was right at all costs.
I wish I could say that I've mastered this thing, but I have not. But by God's grace I'll keep moving forward and learn to be like my Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:7
Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

- DON'T WAIT for her to submit to you before you "GIVE YOURSELF FOR HER."
- Remember who you are - her husband. But remember that, Jesus Christ is her Lord!
